Global Warming Solutions Act: Draft Plan and Public Hearings
EoEEA has just released a draft Climate Implementation Plan and public hearing schedule, pursuant to the 2008 Global Warming Solutions Act. The Act requires the Commonwealth to develop an economy-wide plan for reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) by 10-25% below 1990 levels by 2020 and 80% by 2050. EoEEA believes the range is between 18-25% for 2020 via largely no or low cost measures. This is a critical time for a critical issue.
